Kemman Gundi

This beautiful hill station of Karnataka in well situated in the grassy lands of the Western Ghats, just after the malenaadu region. It is around 8 hours away from Bangalore. The place Kemmanugundi falls in the Tarikere Taluk of Chikmaglur District. It is about 235 Kms from Bangalore. Though there is no direct bus to the place, the nearest place Tarikere can be reached by either Passenger train or a bus. It was the favorite summer camp of King Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV. This place has a beautiful Rose Garden along with many other attractions. There is a place called Z-point at about 10minutes walk from this main place which gives a nice ariel view of the grass lands of the Western Ghats. Raj Bhawan, Z Point, Rose Garden, Hebbe falls and Kallathi Falls are major attractions.

How to get there

Road: You will get KSRTC deluxe bus from Bangalore to Kadur, from there you have to take another bus to Kemmangundi.
Rail: Kadur is the nearest station.
Best Time to visit : October to March.
